Become a Volunteer with the Robinhood Network. As a RHN Volunteer, you are never obligated to provide any service or action for the benefit of others unless your schedule allows for such volunteer service to be performed.
We welcome all volunteers regardless of Race, Color, Religion, Sex, or National Origin. There is no cost or dues to become a volunteer with the RHN. There is no non-voluntary obligation for any action or service from any volunteer. If you are 18 years of age or older you may become a RHN Volunteer. Listed below are the RHN Procedures for performing volunteer services as a RHN Volunteer;
A. The RHN maintains a county-by-county Volunteer Directory in our Corporate Office.
B. When the RHN receives a request for service of volunteers to either pick-up an item or to deliver
an item, our staff coordinator for your County contacts the number of volunteers necessary to
perform the specific task by emailing or calling each volunteer listed in the directory to advise of
the task at hand.
C. The RHN staff coordinator begins contacting the volunteer listed in the directory that follows the
name of the last volunteer that was contacted for the previous assignment. The coordinators
contact each volunteer on the directory before they contact any volunteer that had been
contacted in the past.
The only exception to this rule is for Volunteers that originally indicate they prefer to be
contacted often due to the fact that they are retired & would like to be kept busy with work.
D. When the required number of volunteers are in place, the coordinator will issue the necessary
information regarding the task, details of what, when, where, how, etc. to the volunteers
assigned the task so they can work as a team to accomplish the task on hand.
E. The lead volunteer (as designated by the staff coordinator) will report to the RHN when the task
has been satisfactorily completed. The staff coordinator will close the ticket on the task as being
completed.
F. If you do not have a vehicle (truck, pickup, or van) to use, you can be teamed with another
volunteer or group of volunteers that do have the required vehicle for the task.
G. If your schedule or personal plans do not allow for you to participate for the specific task when
you are contacted, that is okay, the coordinator will simply continue down the directory list of
volunteers until the needed number of volunteers are notified and reserved for the specific task.
